Today, we’re back again with another round of updates for the main WP Dispensary menu plugin, including shortcode image customization options and concentrates pricing updates.
These new updates for WP Dispensary means you’ll be able to take some time this weekend and update your website’s and utilize the new goodies in this release.
New shortcode image options
With the release of version 1.9.6, WP Dispensary now has the ability for you to change the image size that gets output by the shortcode you’re using.
The new option is imgsize=”” which defaults to our dispensary-image (360×250) size.
This option can also be changed to the other image sizes provided by WordPress: thumbnail, medium, large, full.
There are now a few new image sizes included in the WP Dispensary plugin:
- wpd-small (400×400)
- wpd-medium (800×800)
- wpd-large (1200×1200)
For websites that are just starting to use WP Dispensary with version 1.9.6, the new images you upload will be cropped to these new sizes.
For websites who have already uploaded menu items and would like to take advantage of these new image sizes, you’ll want to download and install the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin, and run it so that all of the images are cropped to the new sizes above.
Updates to the Concentrates Pricing options
In the original version of WP Dispensary, Flowers and Concentrates shared their pricing, from half grams to ounces.
In retrospect, while these weights were good for flowers, this wasn’t the best way to handle the pricing options for concentrates.
As of version 1.9.6, you’ll now notice that your concentrate menu items have new pricing options.
You can now add a price per unit, which works well for the times you want to sell e-pens or other products that don’t come by weight.
Alternately, you are still able to add concentrate prices for weight, which are now: half gram, 1 gram, 2 grams.
These numbers are also reflected in the shortcode output for concentrates, as well as the Pricing table that is displayed on individual menu items pages.
Download WP Dispensary Version 1.9.6
You should get the WP Dispensary plugin update notification in your WordPress dashboard, but if for any reason it doesn’t show up, you can download WP Dispensary via the official WordPress plugin repository.
If you don’t have the plugin installed yet, you can also download it directly from your WordPress dashboard by going to Plugins - Add New and searching for WP Dispensary.
