We recently released Version 1.4 of our free add-on, Dispensary Coupons, and this blog post will outline what’s new.

This update has been released in order to utilize the new action hooks within the WP Dispensary plugin and displays your coupon directly on the menu item of choice.

Utilizing the Action Hooks

In version 1.8 of WP Dispensary we introduced a couple of action hooks in the data tables, and this version of Dispensary Coupons is now utilizing one of them.

In the Pricing table that is displayed for each menu item, the Dispensary Coupons add-on will now display the coupon title and link of any coupon that has the current menu item selected.

When you add a coupon to your website, you are given the option to select the menu item of your choice. For instance, you may want to add a discount for the Chemdawg Flower.

This is done directly in the coupon editor screen, selecting the Chemdawg flower from the drop down menu of current Flower items.

Once you publish your coupon, the plugin will check and display the coupon information directly in the Chemdawg menu item Pricing table, giving your visitors a quick view of the flower pricing, but also let them know of the current discounts offered.

Done with the discount? Delete the coupon from your dashboard and the coupon disappears from the pricing table.

It’s a simple but effective update that extends the usefulness of the Dispensary Coupons add-on, giving you the ability to easily display your discounts to patients and giving your patients all the more reason to purchase products from your cannabis business.

You can also download it directly from your WordPress dashboard by going to Plugins > Add New and searching for Dispensary Coupons.
